The Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), founded in 1997, is the nation's leading advocate of women-owned businesses as suppliers to America's corporations. It also is the largest third-party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women in the United States. WBENC works to foster diversity in the world of commerce with programs and policies designed to expand opportunities and eliminate barriers in the marketplace for women business owners. WBENC works with representatives of corporations to encourage the utilization and expansion of supplier/vendor diversity programs.

Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Foundation was established in 1979. The goal of the Foundation is to create, support and fund service programs for the public that promote education and the ideals of justice in the Kansas City metropolitan community.

Defense Research Institute (DRI) is the international organization of attorneys defending the interests of business and individuals in civil litigation. DRI provides numerous educational and informational resources to DRI members and offers many opportunities for liaison among defense trial lawyers, Corporate America, and state and local defense organizations. DRI also has an international presence, seeking to enhance understanding of the law among members of the defense community who have reason to be concerned with the expanding globalization of litigation defense.

Association for Women Lawyers of Greater Kansas City provides opportunities for networking and a forum for the exchange of ideas. Its ongoing and annual activities allow the organization to contribute to the Kansas City community.
